Son of the
Portuguese painter Manuel D’Assumpcao was born in Lisbon in 1956
and lives now in Guimaraes, north of Portugal.
He
exhibits regularly since 1989. He’s Fellow of RSA, London. With
the artists Adrian Bayreuther, Constantin Severin, Izabella
Pavlushko and Olga Dmytrenko constitute the international group
“3rd Paradigm”. He’s also a Member of “Portuguese Authors
Society”, “International Illustrated Letter Writing Society”,
“Artists for Peace” and “Archetypal Expressionism” founded by
the art critic and artist Constantin Severin. His paints are
showed in several collections such as Bank of Portugal,Cupertino
de Miranda’s Foundation, C. M. Barcelos, J.P.F., Pascoaes House,
and the poet António Pinheiro Guimaraes Family and other private
collections in Portugal and other Countries.
He has
participated as a member of the Jury in the 2nd and the 3rd
Biennale International of Youth Art of “Vila Verde” village. He
was selected by the International Jury to participate at the 4th
International Biennale of Contemporary Art of Firenze (2003),
Italy. He was selected to participate at “BIRD 2005
International Art Award”, Beijing, China, and 1st
International Art Biennale of Chapingo, Mexico.
Together with Maria
Isabel D’Assumpcao, creates modern tapestry in typical
Portuguese “Arraiolos” with exclusive designs.

Alberto D’Assumpção wurde am 31. Mai 1956 in
Lissabon als Sohn des portugiesischen Malers Manuel D’Assumpção
geboren und lebt jetzt in Guimarães, einer Stadt im Norden
Portugals.
Regelmäßige
Ausstellungen seit 1989.
Er ist Geselle der Royal Society of Arts,
London und Mitglied von Artmesh. Zusammen mit den Künstlern
Adrian Bayreuther, Izabella Pavlushko, Olga Dmytrenko und
Constantin Severin konstituierte er die internationale Formation
“Drittes Paradigma”. Er ist Mitglied der portugiesischen
Autorenvereinigung, der Internationalen Gesellschaft der
illustrierten Briefe, ferner von “Künstler für den Frieden” und
“Archetypischer Expressionismus”. Seine Werke befinden sich in
verschiedenen Sammlungen, wie der Bank of Portugal, Cupertino de
Miranda’s Foundation, C. M. Barcelos, J.P.F., Pascoaes Haus, der
Familie des Poeten António Pinheiro Guimarães sowie weiteren
privaten Sammlungen in Portugal und anderen Ländern.
Er war
Jurymitglied der zweiten und dritten internationalen Biennale
der Jugendkunst des Dorfes “Vila Verde” und wurde von der
internationalen Jury zur Teilnahme an der vierten
internationalen Biennale für zeitgenössischen Kunst in Florenz
auserkoren. Er wurde zur Teilnahme an der Internationalen
Kunstausstellung “BIRD 2005“ und der ersten internationalen
Kunst-Biennale von Chapingo, Mexico auserkoren und eingeladen.
Zusammen mit Maria Isabel D’Assumpção kreiert er
moderne Wandteppiche im typisch portugiesischen Arraiolos-Stil
mit exklusivem Design.
