Bea Lamar is a visual artist and professional
photographer based in Los Angeles.
She has been part of international exhibits
and art fairs, and her work is included in private and public
art collections in the United States, and Europe.
“By painting with light and capturing moments
with curiosity, I aspire to create strong imagery from delicate
and soft subjects. I am inspired by beauty and always working on
creating intuitive images that make what’s foreign feel more
like home, transporting the viewer to faraway lands through
imagery and bridging the gap between cultures.”
ARTIST STATEMENT:
"I set out to go on an adventure every day, a
journey to find little treasures. And to capture and collect
beauty in all its raw forms, the intimate moments that could
never be said, written, explained, or touched.
Once captured, my drive is to share it with
the world, as experiencing it is the only way to grasp its depth
and meaningfulness.
Observing, emerging myself, and allowing
convergence with my subjects has always been my process whether
using a pencil, a brush, or a camera. And surely being a
photographer first has allowed me to be more spontaneous in my
work, more patient and forgiving as well.
It is a cliché, a real old one, I want make
the world a better place but it has been my motto, and the
reason I chose this career."
